The firm was founded by Mr. Edward Oates 25 years ago. Dlegal web site was launched in 2007. At present our firm is headed by Ms. Jan Rennick and is represented by four legal practitioners (admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria), administrative staff and work experience law students.
We are a general law firm located in the heart of Burwood, Melbourne Australia (Mel way 60 H6) in the most convenient location (corner of Burwood Hwy and Warragial Rd) with easy access to car parks and public transport (tram, bus and train). Right in front of our office is the bus stop & stop no 58 of tram 75 (the longest tram line in Melbourne).
OUR TEAM
Jan Rennick is the principle. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1974 with a bachelor degree in law (LLB). She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1975 and she has been a legal practitioner ever since.
Dinesh Weerakkody started in the property law section and initiated the Migration Law Practice. He graduated from Deakin University in 2004 with a bachelor degree in law (LLB) and he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in as Solicitor & a Barrister.He also completed a post grad: Dip: in Legal Practice. Although Dinesh is involved in other areas of practice in our firm he is in charge of the Migration law practice
Robyn Reid is in charge of the firm’s family law practice. She graduated from Monash University in 1976 with a bachelor degree in law (B Juris, LLB). She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1977.
Angela Cumings graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1977 with a bachelor degree in law (LLB). She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1978.
