Checklist:

• A photocopy of each of the document/s and the passport of the applicant should be provided to the High Commission along with the original document and original passport.
• Declaration, Affidavit and Power of Attorney documents should first be attested by a Justice of the Peace and certified by DFAT, this High Commission will only counter-sign the document.
• Attesting of signature of applicants on pension forms or counter-signing thereon, attesting of signature on other Sri Lankan official forms where the applicant is a Sri Lankan national or counter-signing of such signature, may be exempted from payment at the discretion of the Head of Mission.
• Applicant must declare his/her nationality status when seeking appointment, for advice on the proper procedure to be followed. The Consular Officer/Receptionist will advise the applicant accordingly.

Fees:

Attestation of Procurement as a Justice of the Peace - A$ 35.00

Swearing or Affirming an Affidavit - A$ 35.00

Administering an oath or affirmation - A$ 35.00

An official receipt will be issued.
